Gunplay Escapes Life Behind Bars As His Controversial Armed Robbery Case Was Dismissed
Posted by: admin |
Things have been on the “up and up” for Rick Ross and his Maybach Music Group team over the past few years, that is until MMG affiliate Gunplay found himself potentially serving life in prison for armed robbery. The video that surfaced quickly ended up going viral, showing Gunplay getting violent with his tax consultant, and many thought that the Miami based rapper would find himself behind bars in no time. After turning himself over to the police back in October of 2012, and undergoing an extensive house arrest sentencing, Gunplay’s armed robbery case has been dismissed according to TMZ. “Video alone is not enough to convict an individual of a crime beyond a reasonable doubt,” explained the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s office. “Although the armed robbery is captured on the victim’s surveillance system, the victim, Turron Woodside, is uncooperative of the prosecution of this defendant Richard Morales [Gunplay].” “Today I am grateful and blessed that the case was dismissed,” Gunplay revealed in regards to the case being dismissed. “I plan on picking up where I left off with my music and making hits with my upcoming debut album … The first thing I am going to do today is smoke a joint, relax, play video games, and just be with my loved ones.”
Gunplay gets the break of a lifetime, avoiding potentially spending the rest of his life behind bars a his armed robbery case was dismissed.
Frank Ocean – Eyes Like Sky [New Music]
Posted by: admin |
With no sophomore album release date in sight, getting our hands on some “new” Frank Ocean material was definitely a pleasant surprise to say the least. The Odd Future crooner’s latest offering, ‘Eyes Like Sky,’ is a track that was originally meant to appear on Frankie’s debut album ‘Channel Orange,’ but for one reason or another didn’t make the final cut. It’s always hard to determine whether tracks like this belonged on the complete project as the music is almost seen through a biased lens at this point.‘Channel Orange’ was awarded album of the year by us personally, and was nearly perfect in the eyes of most music media outlets. Whether it belonged on ‘Channel Orange’ or not won’t stop us from keeping the record on repeat for the next few days. Listen to Frank Ocean’s “Eyes Like Sky” below.
Frank Ocean keeps the promotion coming as a leftover track from his ‘Channel Orange’ album hits the scene in ‘Eyes Like Sky.’

50 Cent Looking For A Piece Of The Headphone Market, Releases New SMS Audio Commercial
Posted by: admin |
The headphones market has literally exploded the last few years, and thanks largely in part to Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine’s ‘Beats By Dr. Dre’ headphones. After originally being manufactured under a license by Monster Cable back in 2009, the company continued to grow at astronomical rates, eventually cutting ties with Monster last year. The success of Beats by Dre caught the attention of every other rapper and headphone maker in the industry, and since then we’ve seen a handful of companies take their stab at the ever expanding market. Dr. Dre protege 50 Cent has been getting his feet wet in the business thanks to the his SMS Audio range, and this week Fif has decided to release a new commercial for the headphones. The commercial shows the headphones in action, and describes them as “studio master sound, improving the way you hear music.” Check out 50 Cent in the SMS Audio commercial below.

Pusha T Will Not Back Down From Any Rap Beef Including Young Money Rapper Drake

Pusha T and Lil Wayne have been going back and forth for years now. Although Pusha T has been rather subliminal in his diss tracks, Lil Wayne has openly said “Fuck Pusha T” for everyone to see on his Twitter account. Pusha has continued to go on Weezy, and when asked about potentially going toe to toe with Drake, the Virginia native revealed that he’s ready for a battle with anyone. “At the end of the day, I’m ready for anything and anybody. This is music to me. It’s something I’m good at. It’s something I’m very good at,” he explained. “I don’t shy away from anything. I’m not into it like that. And I keep it tasteful. And I keep it Hip Hop. I keep it Rap. That’s it. I ain’t trippin’. I’m not even here to discredit what they’ve achieved or their skills. Drake is good.” Pusha T recently revealed his ‘Wrath Of Caine’ mixtape, and is currently in the studio prepping the summer release of his ‘My Name Is My Name’ album.

After teaming up with Eminem to drop the lead single for her upcoming album “C’mon Let Me Ride” at the end of last year, Skylar Grey has decided it’s time to pull the curtain back on the official cover art for her studio debut project. The album is set to release later this year, and will of course be executive produced by Shady Records head honcho himself Eminem. “When I was working on Recovery I was introduced to Skylar by Alex Da Kid and I was blown away with her talent as both a songwriter and vocalist. This album is really going to give her a chance to connect with the fans who probably know her music, but might not know her yet. I think they will be as impressed as I am.” Again, no release date on this project yet, but Grey has confirmed that she’ d like to drop it during the Spring/Summer of this year.
